The Detail Page Product Info team is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to deliver a world class shopping experience on amazon.com. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with multiple teams and disciplines across Amazon to test new retail and platform shopping experiences. This includes the end-to-end experience across platforms and devices globally that enable consumers to easily find, purchase, and reorder the essential products they need and use everyday.
The person chosen for this position will have the opportunity to contribute their creative ideas and energy to new, complex and business critical products. What we need is someone who can design, execute and automate tests of front end applications, middle and back-end software across a variety of architectures and cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities:
Own QA process and test quality of the products we develop. Design and build automated test frameworks and test suites. Utilize innovative testing technologies to develop product’s testing strategy.
Participation in design and code inspections.
API level testing.
Perform manual testing, the scope of which will encompassfunctionalities of services as a prequel to automation.
Analyze test logs; create test reports, co-ordinate with stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Quality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test cutting edge applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black box testers, they are able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with Scripting tools and/or user-level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasksstart to completion with minimal help. QAEs would be responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail and coming up with the test strategy/planning, coming up with the test cases, driving the test case sign-off processes with the stakeholders, contributing to code level Unit tests, test execution and reporting.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
5+ years of QA experience
Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
Ability to understand technical specifications and analyze log files
Automation tools such as Selenium or Appium
Experience in Unit Testing APIsJUnit, HttpUnit is desired.
Knowledge of UNIX environment and Shell scripting is desired.
Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Java or C++ coding.
Oracle or SQL.
Experience in writing web based product testing frameworks and automation tools.
